Why Carrots?

Although the ancients did not regard carrots highly as food, the Greeks, Romans, and Arab cultures used carrots for medicinal purposes. In early Celtic literature, the carrot is referred to as the "honey underground!"

Ordinary carrot oil is particularly suitable for dry and chapped skin and helps make the skin noticeably softer, smoother, firmer, and has been used in Europe for decades as baby oil, baby lotion, night creams, and vitamin creams.

BRONZO SENSUALE®  Certified Organic Carrot Oils, Lotions, and Gels are uniquely combined with Soybean, Jojoba, Aloe Vera, Shea Butter, Coconut, and Olive, creating a formulation that fulfills the extremely important function of protecting the epithelium and helping to prevent signs of premature aging of the skin.

Carrots are rich in...

Antioxidants:

Beta-Carotene, and Glutathione,  neutralizing environmental poisons and helping to resist free radicals (highly reactive and unstable molecules that can cause significant cellular damage). Antioxidants play a vital part in the body's cell protection systems.

Vitamins:

Vitamin A is known as the "skin normalizer." It is absorbed through the skin and has been proven to improve the skin's water barrier properties while smoothing skin wrinkling and roughness and evening out skin color.

Vitamin B1 & B2 are considered essential for the natural maintenance of healthy skin.

Vitamin C helps reduce the risk of skin cancer by fortifying sunscreens when exposed to the sun.

Vitamin E Believed to slow the aging of cells and is essential for normal cell structure. Reported to protect cell membranes and increase skin elasticity while preventing irritation from sun exposure. Fortifies the defenses of body cells resisting the effects of carcinogens.

Pure Aloe Vera Gel:

Known through the ages as the "Medicine Plant." Helps heal and resist burns, nourishes the skin and promotes new healthy tissue growth.

Shea Butter:

Taken from the fruit of the African Shea Tree. An anti-inflammatory agent used to heal eczema, dry skin ulcerations, and treatment for severe burns as well.

Soybean Oil:

Proteins derived from Soy have been reported to have anti-cancer, anti-pigmentary, and anti-oxidant properties, as well as, added sun protection.

Phyto Squalane:

Derived from Olive plant roots, it is the only known natural component of human sebum and the hydrolipidic film (the body's natural protective moisturizing source). Prevents moisture loss from your skin, restores suppleness, and flexibility.  Maintains proper skin color to areas with discoloration due to defatting or incomplete keratinization.

Jojoba Oil:

Native Americans have long used the beans oil as a hair conditioner and a skin lubricant. Shown to have properties that help treat wrinkles and dry skin.

Aromatherapy Fragrance

Your body relaxes as it responds to the stress-relieving scents of French Lavender, Indian Mint, Asian Geranium, and Florida Lemon and Orange. Your mind and body escape to a new found sense of tranquility and sensuality.

FAQ's:

Each of these is worthy of a long discussion, but here are the short answers...

Are Bronzo Sensuale products Natural?

There is no actual definition of “natural” according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Natural skin care is the care of the skin (the largest organ of the body) using naturally-derived ingredients (such as botanicals extracts, roots, essential oils and flowers) combined with naturally occurring carrier agents, surfactants, humectants and emulsifiers. The classic definition of natural skin care is based on using botanically sourced ingredients currently existing in or formed by nature, and manufactured in such a way to preserve the integrity of the ingredients. We strive to be as natural as possible, but to be all-natural is virtually impossible, especially with products used without refrigeration.
Are Bronzo Sensuale products Cruelty-Free?
We do not use animal derived or animal tested ingredients. We are recommended by PETA, Leaping Bunny, and all similar organizations worldwide.
Are Bronzo Sensuale products Organic Certified?
There are no legally defined parameters for certifying cosmetics as being organic. Cosmetic ingredients are not like food, so trying to apply food based standards are problematic. We strive to make the most effective products containing certified organic ingredients but without regard to the food concept of organic. Otherwise, we would have to forego the use of such technologically advanced ingredients as Sunscreens and Vitamins, which cannot be certified as organic. Our formulas are regularly updated as more and more ingredients become available in certified organic counterparts.
Are Bronzo Sensuale products Certified Vegan?

Yes, our products are certified vegan and vegan approved, and they do not contain animal derived ingredients.
Are Bronzo Sensuale products chemical and preservative free?
No. If our products could be maintained without preservatives or with only natural preservatives, we would do so. It is imperative that our products are free of contamination and maintain their sunscreen protection for at least two years. They must remain so even after the consumer opens and uses the product. Therefore, we make sure that each formula meets these requirements. However, we are constantly updating our formulas to reduce or eliminate
chemicals as more natural replacements become available.
Are Bronzo Sensuale products Made in the U.S.A.?

Yes, all our products are made at FDA approved facilities here in America. We are Made In the U.S.A. certified.

DETAILED LIST OF INGREDIENTS

Our Oils:
Certified Organic Soybean Oil is loaded with anti-oxidants that promote skin health and help to heal the damage that is done to skin by pollution and by sun exposure. Anti-oxidants contained in Soybean Oil such as Vitamin E and Vitamin B complex are key to helping the radiance and the natural beauty of skin. Vitamin E and Vitamin B complex are also instrumental in helping to control and to prevent the development and the appearance of wrinkles. In addition, Soybean Oil will help fix uneven skin and will create more even skin tone, thereby improving the texture of skin delivering a more glowing and brighter skin.
Certified Organic Carrot Oil provides extraordinary skin protection and conditioning benefits derived from the high quantities of oil soluble carotenoids that it contains. Carotenoids are a class of easily assimilated antioxidants. Antioxidants protect human cells from harmful free-radical attack. Free-radicals are stray oxygen molecules that attack healthy cell walls and react with polyunsaturated fats to create a chain reaction of unlimited free-radical regeneration. Free-radicals are produced by a wide range of environmental pollutants, including UVR. If left unchecked by antioxidants, free-radicals damage both the structure and function of cell membranes, resulting in premature aging, cancer and an array of degenerative diseases.
Certified Organic Aloe Barbadensis Oil Recent studies have shown that aloe vera gel facilitates the healing of damaged skin tissue. It can decrease the redness and swelling associated with a burn. The gel also prevents skin damage resulting from exposure to ultraviolet radiation associated with direct sunlight.
Certified Organic Jojoba Oil is obtained from the crushed bean of the jojoba shrub. Native Americans have used jojoba for hundreds of years for treating sores, cuts, bruises, and burns; as a skin conditioner, for soothing windburn and sunburn. When sebum production decreases due to age, pollutants, or environmental stresses, jojoba oil can replicate sebum oil.
Beta-Carotene (the GOOD Vitamin A): UVA exposure causes premature aging by an increase of oxidative stress in skin. In a study using human skin cells, the researchers found that beta-carotene suppressed UVA-induction of  enzymes which are key to degradation of the extracellular matrix during premature skin aging.  Scientists showed that UVA rapidly destroys beta-carotene in the cells, indicating that the carotenoid has to be replenished after sun light exposure.
Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E) Researchers have concluded that ozone pollution rapidly pares away vitamin E from the thin surface layer skin, called the "stratum corneum." The stratum corneum's role is to help prevent pollutants and other chemicals from entering the body. With a reduction in the strength of this barrier, free radicals gain an easy porthole into the body. The researchers also concluded that the depletion of vitamin E could expose important skin fat molecules to pollution. The destruction of these `lipids,' regulators of matter streaming into and out of the skin, could aggravate skin ailments. Oxidation, or the aging process of the skin, occurs primarily because UV light stimulates the production of free radicals. In its own defense, the body manufactures natural antioxidants. However, aging and sun exposure make the body's sustained fight against UV rays more and more difficult. As a result, the free-radical damage can lead not only to older-looking skin, but also to potential skin cancer. Studies suggest that topical vitamin E application sent the skin extra vitamin E protection reducing skin damage caused by UV rays. Because antioxidants absorb radiation not neutralized by sunscreens, vitamin E increases their protection and lessens the damaging effects of solar UV radiation. Vitamin E does more than protect skin from the sun. Studies show topical vitamin E improves skin moisture by offsetting dryness caused by aging and environmental factors.
Organic Fragrance derived from imported organic lavender, mint, and Florida lemon and orange.

Our Lotions:
Purified Deionized Water removes toxins and oxidants and reducing agents. There are some medical benefits claimed to be associated with deionized water which can chelate toxins.

Certified Organic Shea Butter praised for its anti-aging and moisturizing properties, shea butter is  known as "women's gold”. It also contains cinnamic acid which is a naturally occurring sunblock.
Allantoin is derived from botanical extracts of the comfrey plant, a moisturizing and keratolytic effect, increasing the water content of the extracellular matrix and enhancing the desquamation of upper layers of dead skin cells, increasing the smoothness of the skin; promoting cell proliferation and skin protection.
Synthetic Lanolin contains over 25% water and helps hold moisture to the skin.
Phytosqualene: Squalene is found naturally in your skin and provides oxygenating and detoxifying effects that help maintain the skin’s health, moisture and softness. The amount of Squalene in our skin declines as we age, so topical application helps maintain the moisture and especially treats the skin for roughness, and dryness. By keeping our skin moist you effectively treat wrinkles and the appearance of aging skin. In keeping with our ethical skin care products, Phytosqualene is sourced from olive oil extracts. Squalene has a natural affinity to skin, with it's soft, silky, non greasy touch and natural skin absorption it restores the skin’s suppleness and flexibility.
L-Tyrosine, a building block of protein helps lotions to penetrate the skin. It has been shown to encourage the natural tanning of the skin when exposed to sun.
